Old farmhouse with swimming pool in Martina Franca in the heart of Puglia
An ancient fortified farmhouse in Martina Franca, in the heart of Apulia, built in the 17th century as a farm and now restored to its former glory, using the meticulous craftsmanship of local masters of white stone, respecting the natural environment and ancient building techniques. The ancient dwelling had defence towers and embrasures, which today house the Club House with its reception, hall, reading and TV room and bar. The seven trulli, which were once used for processing and storing cheese, are now interconnected and house the characteristic à la carte restaurant.
The structure is immersed in a typically Mediterranean green oasis, dotted with olive and oak trees, white rural houses – the trulli – and imposing feudal buildings – the masserie. The atmosphere is peaceful and satisfying, in an environment where everything is harmony and suggestion for an ideal holiday in Apulia.
The masseria is surrounded by majestic holm-oak woods, silent symbols of the area’s history; and it is possible to wander along the many shady paths and discover the surrounding nature.
