DAY 1
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Bari. Guided visit in the old town and Basilic of St. Nicola.

DAY 2
Departure to Barletta and visit of the impressive Cathedral of S. Maria Maggiore. The tour will continue in Castel del Monte to visit the castle, UNESCO site and architectural jewel of Federico II, the “Stupor Mundi”. Follow-on to Trani and visit of the magic cathedral by the sea, one of the most famous example of Apulian Romanesque Style. Return to the hotel in Bari.

DAY 3
Departure to S. Giovanni Rotondo and visit of the Sanctuary of St. Pio and stop to the old church, the tomb, the room, the miracle crucifix and the new church. In the afternoon visit of Monte S. Angelo, and its mysterious sanctuary-cave dedicated to the archangel Michel. Return to Bari.

DAY 4
The day will start with a visit of Bitonto and its magnific Romanesque Cathedral. Continue to Polignano a Mare, walk in the sea-view old town and taste of handmade ice-cream. Arrival to Monopoli and guided visit. Accommodation at the hotel in Valle d’Itria.

DAY 5
Visit of Martina Franca with its suggestive Baroque old town.The tour will continue to Alberobello, world capital of Trulli and UNESCO heritage. Guided visit discovering the history, the architecture and the symbolism of Trulli. During the visit, tasting of typical products and local wines in a winery. In the afternoon, visit of an ancient oil mill with tasting of EVO oil. Transfer to Ostuni to visit the White City by ape calessino. Return to the hotel.

DAY 6
Departure to Matera, UNESCO site and European capital of culture 2019. Visit of the “city of Sassi” to know the architecture and lifestyle used until a few decades ago. During the visit, bread tasting at an ancient local bakery. In the afternoon free time. Return to the hotel.

DAY 7
Departure to Taranto, visit of the old town and its harbour, important European commercial hub. In the afternoon, the tour will continue to Lecce, known as “Florence of the south”. Guided visit of the city, churches and craft shops of local stone and paper-mache. Hotel accommodation in Lecce.

DAY 8
Departure to Galatina, the heart of the Grecìa Salentina, to discover the stories of the famous “pizzica” dance. The tour follows in Otranto, called “the gate of the Orient”, the eastest city of Italy. Visit of the Cathedral and its chapel of the Martyrs. Return to Lecce and free time.

DAY 9
Departure to the airport and flight back.
