A day to discover the beauties of Valle d’Itria and a walk in the capital of Trulli. Guided visit of Alberobello, UNESCO site, with aperitif in a panoramic garden. Transfer to a local cheese farm. Visit of the stables and laboratory, mozzarella making with farmer and tasting of the products. In the afternoon walk in the old town of one of the most beautiful village of Italy, Locorotondo. Panoramic aperitif with local wine tasting.
Departure to Salento, hotel accommodation in Lecce.
In the morning, guided visit of Lecce with its palaces. During the visit, there will be an aperitif in a historic building situated in the city centre.
In the afternoon visit of Otranto, known as “the gate of the Est” and tasting of “pasticciotto salentino”.
Return to the hotel in Lecce.
Transfer to Otranto and guided visit of the city. The tour will continue in a local farmhouse, lunch with Salento local products.
Return to Lecce, afternoon free.
Departure to Taranto and old town guided visit of its harbour, an important European commercial hub. In the afternoon, the tour will continue in Matera, hotel accommodation.
In the morning, visit of Matera, UNESCO site and European capital of culture 2019. Visit the Sassi area to admire its architecture and lifestyle used until a few decades ago.
During the visit, you may taste the bread of Matera in an old bakery.
In the afternoon visit of Altamura and its suggestive medieval old town.
Return to Matera.
Departure to the airport of Naples. Flight back.
